The following is a news release from West Kentucky Rural Electric. We than West Kentucky RECC for supporting area students.
Since 1972, electric cooperatives across Kentucky have recognized outstanding high schoolers by providing a leadership experience for rising seniors.
An all-expense-paid trip to Washington, D.C. is awarded each June to three young people from the West Kentucky RECC service area. The week-long trip gives Kentucky’s next generation of leaders the chance to meet with congressional representatives and participate in civic engagement activities with students from across the country.
The participants have been selected for this year’s trip happening JUNE 17-22, 2024. Congratulations to these students!
