Working together for the safety of our student athletes. That's the best way to describe a simulation with spine boarding held at Marshall County High School Wednesday.
Athletic trainer Jen Salmon, along with the football coaching staff and local Emergency Management, reviewed the proper use of a spine board in the care of an athlete with a suspected cervical spine injury. The group also talked about heat related emergencies, where to locate the cooling tubs and how to transport a student once their core temperature is down to a safe level.
The athletic training services provided by Atlas is another step taken by Marshall County BOE to help protect our students every day.
