Installation of a new video scoreboard at the MCHS Carroll Traylor Stadium is coming along nicely. The scoreboard will be used for both football and track and field events.
The $150,000 cost was paid for through community sponsorships.
This board will allow fans to feel like they are part of the game. Things like the Dance Cam or Smile Cam will allow our youngest fans to have the thrill of making it onto the video board. Families can even post birthday messages to surprise their family members on game day.
The video board will also allow for other extracurricular activities like Family Movie Night or Family Trivia Night. This is expected to help enhance our community and build excitement around our school, our district, and the county as a whole.
The new video scoreboard, which is 28 foot wide by 28 foot high, is expected to be up and running next week.
Concrete piers being poured August 19th.
I-Beams go up August 27th.
Scoreboard installed August 28th. The 13 foot by 28 foot videoboard will go up next week.
