We want to congratulate Addison Lyles on signing today with Harding University to run cross country and track and field next season.
Addison has been a 7-year member of the Marshall County track and field program, with six of those years being at the varsity level. Addison has been an integral part of the Lady Marshals' success in many events over the course of those six seasons. Addison specializes in the distance events and is currently in pursuit of our outdoor 1600-, 3200-, and 800-meter records, all of which she intends to break this season.
Addison currently holds the 1500, 1600, Metric Mile, 3000 Meters, 2 Mile, and Metric 2-mile indoor records. She has been named to the Overall All-Area Team multiple times over these past 6 years and has been on three regional championship teams. During cross country, she broke the school record for the 5K distance this past season. Addison has also been named to the cross-country All-Area team multiple years and this past season was named Area 1 Runner of the Year.
During all of this, she was also a vital part of the Lady Marshals soccer program. Addison played for 3 years on varsity, being named 2nd team All-Region this past season and was on two regional championship teams.
Addison has exhibited an extraordinary work ethic in all aspects of being a student-athlete, leading by example in her attitude and effort.
We are excited that Addison will have the opportunity to continue her cross-country and track career at Harding University. We wish her the best of luck!
