Marshall County High School senior Matthew Henderson has officially committed to further his baseball career at Shawnee Community College.
A versatile corner infielder, outfielder, and right-handed pitcher, Henderson has proven himself a valuable asset for the Marshals with his adaptability and relentless work ethic.
As a junior, Henderson made the most of his opportunities, finishing the season with a .346 batting average in just 11 games, collecting nine hits and seven RBI's. On the mound, he stepped up in a big way, throwing 18.2 innings, striking out 11, and posting an impressive 2.25 ERA. His steady progression and dedication have earned him an integral role in his senior year.
Matthew's story is defied by his versatility, attitude, and willingness to do whatever is needed for his team. He is coachable, hardworking, and a great teammate - qualities that will serve him well at the next level. His best days are still ahead and we are excited to see what the future holds for him.
