Marshall County Schools is pleased to announce that Mr. Kevin Jackson, current principal of South Marshall Middle School, has accepted the Secondary Supervisor of Instruction role, effective July 1.
Mr. Jackson brings nearly two decades of educational experience to this district-level leadership position. Since beginning his career as a high school math and physics teacher at MCHS, he has served in a variety of leadership roles across the K-12 spectrum in multiple districts, including assistant principal, principal, and Marshall County’s Chief Information Officer. For the past three years, he has been honored to serve as the principal of South Marshall Middle School, where he has helped lead initiatives in literacy, mathematics, and professional learning while also implementing innovative scheduling and instructional practices.
Known for his collaborative leadership style and commitment to excellence, Mr. Jackson has built strong relationships with educators and administrators throughout the district. His experience leading both school-based and district-wide initiatives qualifies him to support our secondary schools in aligning curriculum, promoting instructional best practices, and ensuring that all students are equipped for lifelong success.
“I am deeply honored to continue serving the students and staff of Marshall County in this new capacity,” said Jackson. “This district has always meant a great deal to me; it is my home and where my own kids attend school. I am absolutely looking forward to supporting our schools and educators in a way that fosters growth, innovation, and opportunity for all.”
Mr. Jackson is a graduate of the University of Kentucky College of Engineering. He holds advanced educational degrees from Murray State University, including a Specialist in Education, and is currently working on his Educational Doctorate degree. He and his family reside in Symsonia.
