Wally the Wise Guy came for a visit! Wally and his team made sure that our students know what to do in case of an emergency that requires them to shelter in place.








Aurora was our October Perfect Attendance Winner! We had 114 students that were here every single day in October. Way to go!


Mrs. Chance's art class (1st grade) was so excited when she revealed their next project! This teacher is tying in history of Kentucky, as well as elements of art used by specific artists. This "Possum" project is giving major props to our local town of Possum Trot!

Kelcie M. was our September Perfect Attendance Winner! She will join Mrs. Glenn and a few others in January on a fun field trip experience!


We had two special visitors at lunch today! Our students loved the gold coins and special dessert from Mario and Luigi!

We had a great Celebration Circle today! Students were recognized for PRIDE-Exercising Control, Work Ethic and also showing the Wildcat Way during our enrichments! We also had two special guests Trooper Sullivan and K-9 Amigo. Trooper Sullivan spoke on how his partner, Amigo, has to show control and focus on the job he has to complete! Trooper Sullivan is a former CCES Wildcat, so we loved having him join us!




Our August Class Winners, Attendance and Class Dojo! Mrs. Littlejohn's class had an attendance rate of 99. 29%. Mrs. Donohoo's class had 99% positivity on Class Dojo!



Karlena is our August Attendance Winner! She was here very single day of August. Each month, we will be drawing a name from all students that were here every second of every day for that month! These students will get to go on a field trip with Mrs. Glenn in January!

Calvert City Elementary School is Named One of America’s Healthiest Schools 2024
Annual award recognizes schools for dedication to student, staff, and family health
(Calvert City, KY)– Alliance for a Healthier Generation has named Calvert City Elementary School one of America’s Healthiest Schools for 2024. This annual recognition honors schools for implementing best practices to support the health of students, staff, and families. Eight hundred and seventy-nine schools across 30 states were awarded this year.
America’s Healthiest Schools are recognized in up to nine categories. CCES was recognized for:
