All during the month of September, the school counselor, mental health counselor and other staff members at South Marshall Elementary have focused on things like greetings, saying hello, responding when someone says hi to you, etc. It's called "Start with Hello."
As a culmination and a practice, along with making the students feel special, community members were at the school this morning to greet them at the start of the day. The school rolled out the red carpet, had music
playing, and the community members were there to greet the kiddos, shake their hands, give high fives, and put into practice what the students have learned.
