Just a snapshot of the last few days. We love seeing smiles while we learn. #SouthsideIsTheBestSide #LearningIsRequired

Today at South Marshall Elementary, we had the honor of celebrating and paying tribute to our nation's heroes during our Veterans Day assembly. Our students filled the room with pride as they read heartfelt poems, sang beautiful songs, and shared a touching video expressing their gratitude for the brave men and women who have served our country.
A special thank you to our guest speaker, Mr. Dennis Cavitt, for his inspiring words and dedication to honoring our veterans. We are incredibly proud of our students for their hard work and for making this day so meaningful.
To all our veterans, thank you for your service and sacrifice. 🇺🇸

Way to go, Nova, Jace, and Paisley! Keep up the great work! #SouthsideIsTheBestSide

Today, South Marshall Elementary students participated in a mock election experience that empowered them to make their voices heard! Not only did they cast their votes for their choice for president, but they also played a crucial role in helping us shape our future by voting on ideas for how to spend potential grant funds.
Through the TVA Uplift Grant, we have the opportunity to receive anywhere from $10,000 to $25,000! As a part of this process, students selected their top three favorite ideas for how this grant money could be invested in their school.
We're thrilled to involve our students in these real-world decisions, encouraging civic engagement, and giving them a say in making South Marshall even better! #SouthsideIsTheBestSide
