All during the month of September Mrs. Michelle and Mrs. Whitney have focused on things like greetings, saying hello, responding when someone says hi to you, etc. It's called "Start with Hello."
As a culmination and a practice, along with making the students feel special, community members were at the school this morning to greet them at the start of the day. The school rolled out the red carpet, had music playing, and the community members were there to greet the kiddos, shake their hands, give high fives, and put into practice what the students have learned.
It was a special morningđź’•

Thank you, Mrs. Ann! We will miss you!

The SMES Robotics Club held a family showcase this afternoon. Students showed off their new robot programming expertise. Thanks, Mrs. Ginny for sponsoring the Robotics Club!

Students in 4th grade were reading about animal adaptations. To help better understand, students conducted an experiment to show various adaptations of bird beaks.
